The inspector behind Speqo

Integrity Without Compromise.

Speqo is built and run by one inspector, not a faceless platform. Every job is carried out personally by Mathew Jardim, a licensed AICIP in-service inspector who has spent fifteen years keeping pressure equipment safe across oil & gas, mining, refining, rail and construction.

Mathew Jardim, AICIP In-Service Inspector of Pressure Equipment

Mathew Jardim

Founder, Speqo

// What drives the work

In our industry we talk a lot about ‘integrity’ in terms of equipment, but it applies just as much to the people doing the work.
Mathew Jardim

Mathew began in non-destructive testing, spending years perfecting UT, RT, MT, PT and VT. That hands-on technical foundation is still the heart of how he works: an inspection is only as good as the evidence behind it, and the evidence is only as good as the person collecting it.

// Why Speqo exists

Built out of necessity

Mathew has worked in pressure-equipment integrity from both the owner-operator and contractor side, and kept running into the same problem on each.

Owner-operator side

Embedded in the plant

Most recently, three and a half years as a Fixed Equipment Integrity Inspector embedded full-time at the Parkland refinery in British Columbia, living with the assets day to day, owning the consequences of every call.

Contractor / client side

Servicing many clients

And years on the contractor side (SRG Global, Applus on Shell Prelude, and freelance), brought in to dozens of sites and turnarounds, seeing how differently every operator runs its integrity program.

Either way, the same gap kept appearing: the information about an asset was inconsistent, scattered, or simply poor, buried in PDFs, lost between contractors, and rarely tied to the equipment itself. Decisions that should have been obvious took hours to support.

Speqo is the answer to that gap: a premium, consistent, high-integrity record built by an inspector who knows exactly what good looks like, because he has needed it himself, as both an operator's inspector and a contractor.
